The Protective LBV is the next level in upper body protection and versatility for your officers requiring Load Bearing Vests. In addition to the features of the Standard LBVs, the Protective LBV is lined in the front, sides and back with EN388 cut and slash resistant fabric (similar to Dyneema). This fabric minimises officer’s blunt and sharp (slash/cut) traumas from viscous animals and human attacks, whilst on duty. Together with adding your option of removable patches (see below options), the Protective Vests provide you with not just a practical vest, but a very important safety addition to your officer’s everyday workwear.

The Vests are a generous fit due to undergarments/cold weather wear sometimes being required to be worn under these. We recommend sizing as follows: 
* M/L for small to large male builds 
* XL+ for extra large to 3xl builds
* "4XL/7XL-LONG" for anyone larger than 3XL, especially if they are taller 
We also have Extension Tabs (set of 4) available which extend the vests out about 2-3 sizes, so if the XL+ is too small and the 4/7-LONG too big, these can be can be added effectively to increase the vest size.

The weight distribution of the LBV is ideal to minimise strain and discomfort on the waist and lower back, often caused from a heavily equipped duty belt. An LBV also enables a quick and easy removal of an officer’s equipment, the ability to add equipment, and a much sturdier platform for if body-worn camera recordings are taking place. Vehicle access is also greatly enhanced when using an LBV as opposed to a duty belt, where equipment is often caught on the seat or seat belt upon entering or leaving a vehicle.
